The charging speed depends on three components - the charging station, which is the source of power, the charging cable and the on-board charger. You should select right EV charging connector to fit this system. Type 1 is a single-phase plug and is standard for EVs from America and Asia (Japan & Korea). It allows you to charge your car at a speed of up to 7.4 kW, depending on the charging power of your car and grid capability. This plug is designed for use in EV charging cables and will mate with any J1772 specified socket. It’s rated at 70A and therefore are suitable for 16 and 32 amp or higher current applications as per the IEC 61851-2001 / SAE J1772-2001 standard.  Shell colors are black, white, or customized.
